Artistic Interiors & Curated Collections by Leah Hart

Fellow parents (our kids go to school together) asked us to assist with providing new structural supports on a rear bedroom at the back of their Sunset District courtyard house.

We went to visit and were in awe of the art collections that existed within this house. Our friends were truly remarkable. We were working on the structural supports and the pandemic arrived and they decided they wanted to explore a larger remodel to the interiors of the house.

We collaborated on planning and layouts and encouraged, assisted and helped to support interiors that truly fit with this family’s artistic style. We closed in the courtyard, expanded the kitchen and connected it to the dining room, updated a bathroom and added a powder room. Period detailing, custom wood doors and casework addressed the functional needs while our clients pushed the color boundaries with tile, paint and finish selections.

Who makes a halloween mask cornice? “Maximalists” they call themselves and in today’s minimalist world, it was a refreshing change.
