An off grid mobile hunting cabin, for a long-time client, located on 1,000 acres of Nature Conservancy land in Manton, California. 

Designed to “not look designed” and to accommodate 4 hunters, gear, mud, muck and hunting spoils, we set out to provide a self sustaining cabin with robust finishes. The design includes a fully functioning propane powered kitchen, lighting and heating with supplemental lighting and charging power (can’t forget about our modern day phones) with solar panels. A septic system and leach area provide a natural sewer system.

Positioned next to a creek with views of the Black Butte cinder cone and Mount Lassen, the cabin has been in use for 7 seasons.
