We were invited to assist with a remodel on this ranch style house in the heart of the Los Ranchitos neighborhood in San Rafael by friends of another client. The house had a galley style kitchen and although a courtyard house lacked a clear sense of entry.

The remodel included an infill addition that allowed the kitchen to be opened up to the main living space and the ceiling in both areas to be raised. Other updates include a new entry, added storage, refinished bathrooms and an added powder room and new porcelain tile floors over radiant heat.

The design included a pool house that on the horizon for the next phase.
